Testimonials

"I did not have any expectations prior to reading this book. It took me on a journey that I least expected though.

Tonja wrote about her three bouts with Breast Cancer with alarming accuracy. She penned all of what she experienced, what her family experienced.  Her ability to allow God To calm THE storms and TO make life bearable WHILE IN the valleys,; STRENGTHENED HER RESOLVE and her belief in God and Jesus The Christ. She shows us how it can be done. She is a Survivor

When the bottom of her marriage fell out she felt anxiety and did not let her anxiety cause her to panic because her safe place resided in having a relationship with God.

She managed to be enlisted,in the United States Army, do her tour of duties,( foreign and domestic) for twenty years,  maintain her young family and to obtain her higher education with multiple degrees.

After retirement she did not falter and succeeded in holding a very important  government  job,  and  not without challenges from her staff team.  But God. She has met her help meet and they're flourishing in The Lord.

This is a phenomenal woman and without her faith none of this would have been possible. She has journaled and written this book to steer others to Christ;  and because of her ordination as a minister and through the Evelyn Ancrum Educational Cancer Association, her non -profit, she can further guide those who lack a relationship with God.

Great kudos to Tonja for allowing us to walk in her shoes and to know that our Creator loves and cares for us, even when we are not aware. Imagine, if we did as Tonja has done with our lives and if we would foster the lives of others;  It could be life-changing. Thank you, Tonja

"Reading this book flared up a few storms that ran through my life that I encountered.".

First let me begin by saying " WOW! you are such an Amazing Woman and Wonder woman nor Superwoman has anything on a Virtuous Woman.  Your book was an amazing spiritual read for me and I was truly blessed to encounter this journey.

Reading this book flared up a few storms that ran through my life that I encountered. Chapter 2 had the winds blowing, but I was able to STAND STILL and  HOL:D FIRM to his hand. because (I had a purpose in my life) pg.43.

I was violated (uncomfortable touches at a young age), labeled of being like my momma (mammie as it was called) and being betrayed in my marriage (thoughts of suicide) from being BROKEN.  BUT GOD HAD A PURPOSE IN MY LIFE.

He SAVED me. amen

After reading your acronym of the STOP SIGN, it touched me the most to know that I was already STOPPING  to Seek, Trust, Obey & Pray (STOP) but it also had me to Surrender and  Invite, God, iNto (SIGN) my Life. With doing this I was able to maneuver through my storms of life.

I am sharing this read with my sister who lost he son in a Rode Rage shooting (senseless death at 26 yrs. old) and I pray the strengthen and the fight you encountered in your Storms will help her, yes I know she is not fighting a battle with C., But your Strengthen and Courage (pg 75) will give her the will to FIGHT and to draw from Ephesians 4:13.

Thank you so much Mrs. Tonja for allowing me to walk through the storms to find out that we both are just in the EYE of the STORM because GOD is not done with you (me) yet. Patiently waiting to be blessed again,

"AWESOME !! Great read!

Was like you were speaking to me, I didn’t want to get up, because I didn’t want to miss anything you were saying, so I sat down & read the whole Book !!!!

"I started reading your book. I'm trying to Incorporate some of the visuals."

The Acronym Stop Seek God...etc. New beginning. Putting on the whole ARMOUR For the War ahead. Come prepared. Reading the book It's like getting into the Word.

So, I have to stop and digest what I'm reading.

I got out paper and pen to jot down keywords to help me retain what I'm reading.  The book is a good read, Resourceful for this life Journey.

God Bless

"I actually read the whole book cover to cover in less than 2 days on July 4th weekend.

I just want to say how incredibly inspiring your story was to me. I couldn't put it down and am humbled and intrigued. Even though you and I grew up with completely different backgrounds and experiences, your book put me in your shoes and I could hear your voice speaking directly to me throughout your writing. Your bravery and honesty brought me to tears at times too.

I also want to note that I was in Saudi Arabia the same time you were, except under different circumstances. My father took a job with the oil company Aramco in 1990 and we moved there and lived there for 10 years before returning to Houston. I was only 10 years old and my time in Dhahran was more of an "oasis" experience.

The Journey of Transparency, Breastcancer Education at its Best!

If I may, I would first start by saying this; Sister Tonja delivers one of the best Transparencies of one's Life I've ever had the pleasure of

reading. Her unmistakable way of encompassing her Breastcancer journey is

second to none. She delivers this emotional engagement to the reader that brings us into depth of her own vulnerabilities that too allows us to examine the depth of our own vulnerability.

What I most love about her book is, she spares nothing and shares everything. She transforms the uneducated (as myself) and brings an

awareness of her Breastcancer emotional rollercoaster as well as others too.

Lastly, as one that has served His country, I cannot even start to imagine what a Soldier like Tonja endure while serving her country. Yet, she makes no excuses and delivered what was expected of her as a Soldier-even though

the internal health battle and its coexistence on the battlefield. Unless you served you cannot even imagine this struggle, because this kind of

environment is unforgiving and being a female is more to be proven beyond all circumstances.

I am extremely proud of Sister Tonja and this Amazing piece of Art she delivered with the guiding Hand of God☝. I am ever so thankful that He would allow His Divinity to shine through her for the blessings beyond measure
